A must stop, the Turtle Hospital is a great way to spend an afternoon getting a tour of the hospital and learning about the valuable service this 501(c)(3) provides.
The Turtle Hospital has four main goals: (1) rehab injured sea turtles and return them to their natural habitat, (2) educate the public through outreach programs and visit local schools, (3) conduct and assist with research aiding to sea turtles (in conjunction with state universities), and (4) work toward environmental legislation making the beaches and water safe and clean for sea turtles and you can see all four during your visit. A great place to visit for all ages I encourage you to stop by and support the hospital in any way that you can.
DISTANCE: ~0.5 miles (2 minutes) from the house
